Hi, I'm Naomi. I'm a New York State Certified Special Education Teacher with more than a decade of experience working with young children and their families. Since 2010, I've supported children across classroom, home-based, Early Intervention, evaluation, and consultative settings.
Over the years, I've learned that supporting a child means looking at the whole picture. Sometimes a family needs help understanding an evaluation or learning what their child's IEP means both practically and legally in the classroom. Other times, they need practical strategies for challenging behavior, toilet training, learning at home, or simply getting through a difficult daily routine. To me, none of those concerns are too small to take seriously.
At the center of my work is a simple belief: parents should feel informed, confident, and equipped to advocate for their children.
During my years as a Classroom Teacher, I always encouraged families to ask questions, understand their child's needs, and never be afraid to advocate when something didn't feel right. That belief ultimately led me beyond the classroom and into working more closely with families—helping parents better understand their children, navigate educational systems, and find practical strategies that work in real life.
Through Naomi Beth Learning, I bring together my background in Special Education, child development, behavior, early learning, and family support to give parents something I believe every family deserves: a knowledgeable person in their corner and a clear idea of what to do next.
My background spans nonprofit and public Special Education programs, Early Intervention, CPSE, and private settings. I have worked with preschool and school-aged children with Autism, ADHD, Global Developmental Delays, and other learning and developmental needs, including verbal and nonverbal students and students who use AAC systems. My experience includes supporting communication, behavior, learning readiness, daily routines, independence, and academic instruction across reading, writing, and mathematics. In addition to my years as a Classroom Teacher, I have provided home-based Early Intervention and CPSE services, conducted developmental evaluations for both EI and CPSE, supported children with Autism through private services, and participated in IEP meetings alongside families.
